The Hubbell Type 4271 E-Mag Solid State magnet controller is for use with 15KW DC shunt/compound wound generators utilizing 230VDC fields and 12VDC battery voltage. It can be used with all types and makes of lifting magnets. It assures fast and clean release of all types of magnet loads. The E-mag incorporates solid state components arranged to provide a new concept in magnet controller design and operation. No contactors are required and the discharge path is electronically controlled to limit voltage spikes between 275-325 volts without use of power resistors or varistors. 60lbs, 16"W x 20"H x 8"D outdoor rated enclosure.
